This patient is in her 50s and has had 2 children. She is 5’7 and 155 pounds. She was undergoing a capsulectomy and breast lift and wished to improve the contour of her abdomen. She had aggressive liposuction done of the abdomen by a different surgeon. This had caused a lot of loose skin of the abdomen and flanks. She wished to have this loose skin removed. She underwent an extended abdominoplasty (with tightening of the rectus muscles) to remove the skin from the front and all the way to the back of her abdomen. She didn’t require liposuction as it was mostly just skin that needed to be removed. She was very happy with the outcome of the surgery.
